Ellington S. West is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sonavi Labs, Baltimore, MD.

The Keynote Lecture, A digital stethoscope with active noise suppression and automatic detection of abnormalities in lung sound, will be presented by James West, Professor at Johns Hopkins Univ. and Ellington West, Co-Founder, Sonavi Labs.

This is a five-day event from 7—11 December 2020.

Each day consists of recorded webinars with live Q&A following each lecture presentation and poster sessions with live Q&A text chat from 9:30 a.m. EST to 4:20 p.m. EST. Open meetings of Technical Committees will be held starting at 4:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday and Thursday. The ASA Plenary Session and Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. EST

Throughout the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with fellow attendees.

The time zone will be U.S. Eastern Standard Time.

The event occurs virtually, which means you just have to log in to the meeting using your login credentials. More details to come following registration!

Early registration ends on 9 November. It will be possible to register after that date, including at the meeting, for a higher fee.

No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate in our conference. You only need to have access to the Internet on a computer, tablet or smartphone.
There will be no equipment exhibit at this meeting. The Exhibit Hall will include booths dedicated to several ASA committees including the Student Council, Women in Acoustics, Member Engagement, and Regional and Student Chapters. AIP Publishing will also staff a booth where you can find information about ASA publications.
Each lecture session will have a Chair (Host) and Support Staff (Co-Hosts). Chairs will supervise playback of the recorded videos for each speaker. Q&A text will be submitted and the Chair will monitor questions for each presentation. The speakers will do their best to answer as many questions as possible during the live Q&A
Poster presenters will be available during their poster session. If the author chooses video chat, a “live” button can be pushed to join a video conferencing breakout room for questions. Otherwise, the author may choose live text chat.
Attendees can arrange to chat with presenters in the Networking Lounge or arrange one-on-one opportunities directly with the speakers via email.
Meeting attendees will have full access to the recorded sessions for 30 days after Acoustics Virtually Everywhere. More information will be provided later.
